Chester Cheetah brings the heat
When Doritos announced its new Flamin’ Hot flavor with a Super Bowl spot featuring Chance the Rapper and Backstreet Boys, Chester Cheetah had to have his say. As the OG in the Flamin’ Hot snack game, Chester knew just how to remind the world who is king. Immediately after the commercial aired, he dropped a hot diss track online with lyrics to burn the haters. Utilizing premium performance capture with real-time animation, we allowed the creatives from Goodby Silverstein & Partners to direct Chester’s rap just like they would direct live talent, walking away from the shoot day with a working edit. Once we gave the animation a finishing pass, and composited Chester in his throne room, his clapback was ready for the world to see - in a fraction of the time it would have taken with traditional animation.
