The Best and Brightest of Broadcast

This year’s NAB Show brought the best in broadcast and technology together for yet another groundbreaking Las Vegas event. Silver Spoon was highly represented with three of our leading team-members featured in a variety of panels throughout the conference.

To kick things off, Laura Herzing, Silver Spoon’s Executive Producer, participated in “XR in Sports Broadcasting, Driving New Revenue” to discuss how new production techniques and visual effects technologies are expanding revenue opportunities and fan engagement. This panel explored how new capabilities create new types of content and therefore new real estate for sponsorship and partner branding.

Shortly after, Dan Pack, Managing Director at Silver Spoon, spoke on the “Virtual Production Workflows” panel where he and other industry leaders did a deep dive into the advantages and challenges of using virtual environments, and what it takes to create and execute convincing in camera VFX.

Wrapping up a busy day, Matthew Houstle, Director of Technology and Innovation, participated in “Building Virtual Stages for Live and Broadcast Productions” where panelists talked about the most exciting emerging technologies and how their previous experiences in the live event industry informs their current broadcast related roles.
