Fox Sports 2nd annual “Field of Dreams” game is all about celebrating the game of baseball, so we teamed up with NVIDIA to create an historic, unforgettable sports moment for live fans and viewers at home. Using groundbreaking AI & machine learning, we set out to honor the remarkable legacy of prolific sports announcer Harry Caray, bringing him back to the booth for one more magical performance in stunning real-time AR. But we didn’t stop there; we also recreated 9 more legendary baseball icons for an inspirational opening segment that followed a young boy who comes face to face with his baseball heroes. By using NVIDIA’S advanced AI and rendering technologies, we were able to develop a new approach to digital character animation allowing us to rapidly animate facial expressions without the need for rigging. This activation was a home-run with audiences, and a testament to the power of technology to create real-life magic.
