Nickelodeon Super Bowl

For Super Bowl 58, we embarked on a groundbreaking mixed reality project, creating a simulcast that transformed the entire game into a SpongeBob-inspired experience from Bikini Bottom. We extended the stadium into a fantastical set, complete with augmented reality animations and live motion capture within a 3D virtual set, featuring SpongeBob, Patrick, Nate Burleson, and Noah Eagle. Game-controlled AR effects brought iconic characters like Larry Lobster and the Ninja Turtles into the action, along with a submarine, AR touchdown cannons, and Plankton Bot. Our work culminated in a fan-favorite moment: a stunning 3D rendition of "Sweet Victory." The result was a Super Bowl broadcast that uniquely blended the excitement of football with the whimsical world of SpongeBob SquarePants.
