VISION

Halo Pelican takes flight

We created a mixed reality AR flyover of the Halo Pelican to help Xbox promote Halo Infinite during halftime of an Oregon vs. Oregon State football game. The fully 3D Pelican model was textured and animated in Unreal. We created a to-scale previz of the action to ensure that the animated aircraft would seamlessly blend into the real stadium environment. On game day, the Pelican was live composited in AR on the big screen at Autzen Stadium, the largest jumbotron in college football, as it swooped onto the field and dropped logos for Halo Infinite and the University of Oregon. The experience captivated the 60k+ fans in the stadium, and drew massive attention with thousands more fans liking, replying and sharing the clip online.
